Sunday 4th - Fishing, Kayaking & Camping - Something For All

Post by conor »

I am thinking of a handy paddle perhaps Sunday afternoon. From Kinvara to Island Eddy, dropping the tent and gear and continuing out to the deeper water between Eddy and Deere for a spot mackerel fishing. Back to the island for the evening to cook any catch (or starve as the case might be), returning the following morning.

Thoughts, comments or other suggestions that will involve kayaks, tents, mackerel and not necessary in that order would be appreciated.

For anyone not interested in the fishing element, you could always join us later for the cook up. If we provide the fish, you might bring the loaves....

If there is room in my boat, I might also bring my snorkel, mask and flippers and if lucky we might pull a few razor clams, although the tide might not suit.

HI All.
I am on for eddy, with some swimming, a good campfire and some good company, sounds like a plan. I won't fish or eat the fish but I may hunt down a mammoth and have some mammoth steak for dinner.
Ill definately do your trips some other time dave.

Meeting at Kinvara for 2pm, gone for 2.30ish. Out to the island, dump camping gear and head on for a spot of fishing. Back to the island to cook our spoils and relax for the evening. Returning Monday morning and absolutely no reason not to be home in time for lunch!

At this point the weather looking quite reasonable for Sunday afternoon through to Monday morning.

There is little or no wood on the island and it will be important for EVERYONE to bring a few logs each.

Confirm if you are joining us.
