Friday 4th January - Overnight Offshore Camp

Post by conor »

Starting as you mean to go on, a few of us are looking at a possible overnight camp on one of the Estuary Islands Friday evening. With a forecast for a dry night, with plenty of warm clothes and a few whiskeys, there are no excuses.

There is a meteor shower also forecast for the next few nights. With no moon, clear skies and less light pollution on the islands, locally it is the perfect location. At its peak predictions are for 50 to 100 shooting stars per hour.

We will likely set off from Crovraghan late afternoon and possibly just as it is getting dark. Exact time and details to follow.

Please keep an eye on the site and make sure you confirm if you are joining us.

Too short notice and not enough people available, we are postponing this for another couple of weeks.

We are still going ahead with a night paddle, meeting at Crovraghan slip for 6.30pm. With plenty of interest, this is going ahead.
